The Swine Thyme U.S.A. BBQ team is back on the road, this time heading to Orange Beach, Alabama to compete in the World Food Championships. Hot off our excellent showing at the Jack, we are currently ranked 10th overall and 5th in the BBQ category. You can watch our rankings change from here.

About the World Food Championships

Now heading into its 6th season, last year’s World Food Championships was the largest food sport tournament in history with more than 419 official teams. They came from 48 American states and 14 countries to compete, while more than 20,000 foodies watched and enjoyed the heat of the battle unfold in 10 official categories.

Update:

The World Barbecue and Food Championship tour is coming to a close. It has been filled with great experiences and memories.

We placed 9th in ribs, 15th in chicken and a respectable 35th overall out of 100 of some the world’s best! Congratulations to all the teams that competed.

Having the opportunity to meet and compete against people from all over the world is an honor and a blessing. Getting your name called at these contests is just icing on the cake. A feeling I hope every one of my competitors has the opportunity to experience. To God be the glory, as we can’t do anything without Him.

There are so many people I would like to thank. So many, that I can’t list them all here. I hope you know who you are and how much I/we appreciate your support.

The competition season isn’t quite finished. We have one more hill to conquer in Vegas, in December. After that, we shall see. There are very exciting things ahead.
